„From employee competences to organization efficiency”, Olsztyn, 18 June 2014

On 18 June 2014 we had the pleasure to participate in the seminar “From employee competences to organization efficiency” in Olsztyn. At the invitation of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development PARP we prepared a presentation on the recruitment and selection of staff members through the example of employees in the Dag-Center translation office. The aim of the speech was to present to other entrepreneurs some specific examples of implemented projects in the field of competency-based management.

Moreover, the following topics were addressed: the implementation of competence schemes, the processing of benefits and difficulties, practical usage, career pathways of employees, competence description of positions, recruitment and selection of employees on the basis of competence systems, talent management, and also the building, communication and cohesion of the employer.

Other speakers were: Mrs Karolina Sieniawska from Wordsmith PR with the preelection “Employer Branding on the basis of the policy of the management of human resources”; Mrs Monika Nowacka-Sahin from Modern Company with “Gamification – from customer feedback to the competence development of the sales team”; Mr Grzegorz Filipowicz explained the concept of competence development in companies. A proper way of competence management results in better effectiveness, and efficiency of employees in the company and their work brings better effects for the organization.

We would like to emphasize that our participation in this type of event was very valuable and inspiring for us. Simultaneously the preelection of our own Mrs Dagmara Oprzyńska-Pacewicz was warmly received by the participants of the event and was highly substantively evaluated by the event organizers. In our opinion, contemporary enterprises have to invest in their workers effectively, promoting their strengths and predispositions, necessary to further development. Then a well trained worker will involve themselves in seeking out the sources of successful growth of the company. If we want to have workers that are ready to take risks, solve problems and support the development of the company, we have to invest in them wisely. Such an employee, properly nurtured, will act in support of the enterprise for which they work most effectively.

We took great pleasure in sharing our experiences collected over a period of 10 years of the activity of our translation office and we highly recommend participation in such instructive events. It is worth to Invest in the development of one’s workers and consequently in the development of our enterprises.
